Attention PUE Families!!
Have you been looking for ways to get more involved in the PUE school community but don't know where to start? The PUE PTA has the following open positions for the 2020-2021 school year and would love your support. Please reply to this message if you are interested in a position and would like more detail. Note: a reply message inquiring about a position does not commit you to the position.
Track 2 VP (avg 3 hrs. per week, busier at the beginning and end of the school year) Must be a Track 2 family. Services as coordinator for room parents providing training and support to ensure the needs of the classrooms are being met.
Memberhub VP (avg 3 hrs. per week, busier at the beginning of the school year and during publications): Interest in learning Memberhub technology (user friendly). Ensures effective communication between parents, teachers, and administration.
Disbursement Treasurer (avg 3 hrs. per week, busier at the beginning and end of the school year) Must Know how to use Quickbooks. Financial background.
Membership Chair (avg 3 hrs. per week, busier at the beginning of the school year) Promotes PTA to families. Organize/ run membership drive at the beginning of the year. Works with the PTA to make certain all members are in Memberhub.
Global Chair (avg 2 hrs. per week) Works with PUE global committee to support global initiatives. Works with cultural arts committee head to align global performers with school initiatives.
Fundraising Chair (avg 3 hrs. per week, busier at the beginning of the school year) Promotes Passive fundraisers. Works with the PTA to use Memberhub for passive fundraising initiatives. Works on the PTA Fundraising committee.
Landscaping Chair (avg 4 hrs. per week in Spring and Fall) Works with PTA Board and PUE PTA Administration to set landscaping needs. Manage landscaping budget. Organize volunteers for landscaping day.
Media Chair (avg 1 to 3 hrs. per week) Works with the media specialist to provide volunteer support for media center.
Staff / Parent Appreciation Chair (avg 1 to 3 hrs. per week) Responsible for managing staff birthdays. Schedule staff/parent appreciation events with PUE Administration. Assist Track VPs with coordination of appreciation lunches. Work with Sponsorship committee to identify potential donors for appreciation events.
Cultural Arts Chair (avg 1 to 3 hrs. per week, busier in October) Attend cultural arts fair. Book cultural artists for performances at PUE. Manage cultural arts budget.
Event/ Marketing Chair (avg 3 hrs. per week) Event ideas. Assign committee chairs for events. Event marketing and support.

Wake County Board Advisory Council (BAC) Meeting @ PUE
The PUE PTA will be hosting a BAC Meeting in the Media Center on November 18th from 6–7pm. THIS MEETING IS OPEN TO ALL PUE PARENTS! Roxie Cash, our District’s Wake County Board Advisory Representative, will discuss topics that are pertinent to our school as well as overall Wake County concerns.
