Buy a gift. Change the world. Whether it’s supporting widows in Africa, children fighting cancer, or students in your school, when you buy certain gifts at the Giving Market, you’re not just giving a gift – you’re changing the world. PUE is hosting the Giving Market in the Maker Space on Wednesday, December 4th through Thursday, December 12th from 9:30am - 1:00pm. The Giving Market provides a fun student shopping experience that promotes generosity, builds community, and celebrates giving. Every child at PUE will be given the opportunity to shop this year. Visit GivingMarket.com or the brochure you received in Tuesday folders for more details about this unique holiday shop as well as to check out gifts ahead of time. Sign up here to volunteer: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0f45afaa22a1ff2-giving1. All volunteers will receive a FREE gift and $5 to spend at the Giving Market as a thank you for your time. Plus, your generosity will serve as a great example to your child that giving is fun!
The PTA, in collaboration with the After-School Program, will be hosting a Holiday Parent’s Night Out (PNO) on December 6th from 6:30 to 9:30PM. Returning for another year are the Polar Express and Paint your own canvas on December 13th from 6:15 - 8:45PM. The PTA will be showing the movie "Polar Express" in the gym while Ms. Hopper walks others through painting a winter themed canvas in the cafeteria. The movie is a free event, but the painting is $15/canvas. All proceeds from the painting support the PUE Art Program. Childcare is not available for this event so ALL children will need to be accompanied by an adult for both programs. Be sure to check out the sample canvas on the PTA bulletin board (posted this week). The following link can be used to sign-up/pay for the painting event: http://bit.ly/WinterScenePaint
